Duties and Responsibilities
The Bartlett School of Architecture is a world-leading place to study, teach and research architecture. The School is a key part of UCL, a top world-ranking university, where architecture has been taught for over 175 years. With over 300 permanent staff, across two state-of-the-art London sites, the school enjoys a rich reputation for cultivating innovative ideas in architecture and is currently ranked global No. 2 by the QS World Ranking by Subject for architecture and the built environment and the top architecture school by the Architects Journal AJ100 for the 17th consecutive year.
This is an open-ended position available for an immediate start. The post is of strategic importance to The Bartlett School of Architecture as a key position on our ARB/RIBA Part 3 programmes.
The post holder will be required to teach their appointed subject to students on prescribed modules at specific times of year. The post is available to candidates with relevant expertise and/or previous teaching experience in professional practice at UCL or a University of equivalent status.
We are looking for teaching professionals with a higher degree in architecture or architecture related discipline along with recent experience gained within UK practice of a range of practice management, procurement, contract and delivery processes.
The successful post holder will be able to demonstrate a track record of high-level teaching, leading students to a recognised high standard of work. As well as possessing knowledge of the range of contract formats, (professional services and building contracts) currently in use in the profession candidates will demonstrate experience of providing mentoring (PEDR) and pastoral support to students.
