Duties and Responsibilities
Led by the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences (SHS), the Social Data Institute (SODA) is a new initiative that will amplify UCLs advanced research and teaching in social data and methods. It will draw strength from the breadth of expertise and interests in the disciplines within SHS, uniquely placing it at the centre of both the practical and ethical challenges that come with the innovative uses of data to understand society.
The Social Data Institute (SODA) would like to recruit a full time Lecturer (Teaching) in Social Data Science (1.0 FTE) on a open ended basis to deliver world-leading data and methods teaching across the faculty of Social and Historical Sciences.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new initiative and influence and inform its teaching offer across a faculty where there is a high demand for data science skills.
The post-holder will hold a PhD qualification in quantitative/data science aspects of any of the SHS relevant subject areas. Relevant undergraduate, or postgraduate teaching experience is essential.
