Duties and Responsibilities
This specific appointment has arisen to support the delivery of a programme of initiatives that are necessary to respond to the changing context of the art education and art research (post-Covid, post-Brexit) in the Slade, UCL, the wider UK HE sector and internationally in light of recent world events.
The purpose of the role is to support the Slade to make progress against specific strategic objectives. They will do this by managing specific projects and initiatives, as identified by the Director and Slade Management Team. The progression of these key projects, within agreed timeframes and budgets, will enable them to be established in time for the start of the academic year 2021/22 as well as longer term objectives.
The role holder will be responsible for the initiation, development and monitoring of several early stage projects. The assignment may vary over time, and the role holder may be required to deliver other allocated projects should the need arise.
The Project Manager will be expected to take responsibility for the ongoing health of each assigned project and ensure that progress towards successful delivery is managed and monitored.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the context of the Slade in Higher Education to ensure that projects are sensitive to the specific needs of staff and students in the Arts and Humanities. They will hold excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills.
