Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health is part of the UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/epidemiology-health-care/). This project is a cross-institutional collaboration with the University of Oxford, QMUL, UCL School of Pharmacy and experts by experience, providing an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced team with expertise in primary healthcare organisation and design and realist approaches to evidence synthesis.
The postholder will be responsible for conducting a realist evidence synthesis working with an excellent cross-institutional research team, co-ordinating project meetings including stakeholder and expert by experience involvement in the analysis and dissemination. The postholder will lead on drafting the protocol, database searches, study selection, data extraction and synthesis, in addition to contributing to writing up and dissemination.
This is a full-time post for the 15 month duration of the project, beginning 1st February 2022 until 30th April 2023 in the first instance.
The postholder should be a Masters graduate with experience conducting systematic reviews, ideally including realist methods. They should have a keen and critical interest in healthcare organisation, collaborative and integrated working, primary care, general practice and community working. They should be happy to work effectively independently, while co-ordinating involvement of the research team, stakeholders and experts by experience. They should be a confident, efficient and clear communicator (verbally and written), able to work to agreed deadlines. The postholder will need to be able to identify, synthesise and implement key emergent concepts into the research process and analysis.
