Duties and Responsibilities

This is initially a 13 months post funded by the EU-H2020 programme. The project is an international initiative coordinated by Charit Universittsmedizin Berlin (Germany). The project includes day to day collaboration with Barts Heart Centre (London).

The post-holder will be responsible for clinical data collection, data processing towards creation of anatomical models and generating synthetic data for conducting computer simulations. The post-holder will also contribute to define standards of practice which will be used for the exploitation of in silico clinical trials.

Key Requirements

The post-holder is expected to have skills in medical image processing and computer simulations including structural and fluid-dynamic analyses. Starting salary is dependent on experience and PhD status.

The appointee will have a PhD or equivalent experience. If working towards a PhD, they can be close to completion of this degree. If a PhD is not yet awarded at the start date, appointment will be at Research Assistant grade 6B 32,217 – 33,958 per annum (including London Allowance of 3,461 per annum), with payment at grade 7 backdated to the date of submission of the final PhD thesis.
