Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint a research fellow position in Marine Seismology, to be held at the Department of Earth Sciences at UCL. The ERC-funded project UPFLOW will develop entirely new seismic imaging approaches along with new seismic data to constrain upward mantle flow in an unprecedented level of detail.

The post is funded by the European Research Council for 36 months in the first instance.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have a PhD, or thesis submitted subject to examination, in seismology and a strong background in using ocean bottom seismometer data to build global seismic tomography models, as well as in using and developing novel seismic imaging algorithms.
