Duties and Responsibilities

The UCL Energy Institutes MaaSLab (www.maaslab.org) sits within a wider transport and energy group encompassing work on aviation and surface transport.

The successful candidate shall be responsible for the development of the travel behaviour models and travel-related surveys of MaaSLabs research projects, extend the state-of-the-art in travel behaviour modelling, contribute to the management of specific research projects of MaaSLab, and assist in the expansion of MaaSLabs research portfolio by contributing to national and international grant applications and to scientific paper publications.

The post is available from 01 February 2022 and has funding for 13 months in the first instance. Further funding to support the post may be available.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in economics, maths, engineering, or another quantitative field, together with a PhD (close to completion is also accepted), or commensurate research or industry experience in discrete choice modelling, survey design, and advanced data collection and handling techniques. A specialism in transport and econometrics is also essential. Experience in project management is desirable.
