Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional research administration professional to join our team.

This is a great opportunity to join the Research and Innovation Services team of a world leading UK university. Research and Innovation Services, supports more than 4,000 research grant applications per year and approximately 6,000 active research awards and contracts with annual income of circa 470m

Reporting to the Assistant Director Research Operations, the Research Operations Officer will be required to use their research management operational and system expertise to support the delivery of excellence in Research and Innovation management as part of a continuous improvement culture. The post holder will be fundamental in supporting the management of UCLs research and innovation management system and the associated processes to ensure UCLs professional service community continue to support academic excellence. In addition to supporting ongoing business activities the post-holder will take an active role in business change projects.

Key to the success of this post will be the ability to forge close and pro-active working relationships with a range of professional services staff across the College.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate should have an excellent attitude to customer service and hold extensive knowledge of research administrative procedures and practice gained from experience within a HEI Research Administration function. They should have a high level of experience using research management systems and a keen interest in IT system support.
