Duties and Responsibilities
The English Department at UCL, one of the oldest and most prestigious in the U.K., is seeking to appoint a Senior Education Administrator from 1 March 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. Specialising in administering the department’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, particularly with respect to admissions and assessment, the post-holder will lead in delivering a high quality and timely service to staff and current and prospective students. The post-holder will also line manage a team of one full-time and two part-time teaching and learning administrators.
Applicants are invited from candidates with experience of working in higher education, preferably in admissions, and who are educated to degree level, or equivalent, or higher. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the complete academic cycle of the UCAS admissions process; familiarity with higher education assessment procedures will be an advantage.
The post-holder is expected to be organised, show attention to detail, and have confidence in using their personal judgement and initiative to deal with issues and enquiries. Interacting with a wide range of people from both within and outside UCL and the UK, a professional attitude, willingness to help, a positive outlook, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, are essential.
