Duties and Responsibilities

The UCL Centre for Advanced Research Computing (ARC) is UCLs new institute for infrastructure and innovation in digital research – the supercomputers, datasets, software and people that make data and computational science and digital scholarship possible.

The Senior Research Data Consultant will provide technically-focused advice and consultancy to researchers at UCL, helping them to improve their data management, align with best practice, and enable Open Science and FAIR data. They will help coordinate data and metadata management for research projects, contribute to research proposals, and collaborate on research data service design, feeding in researcher requirements.

Key Requirements

The Senior Research Data Consultant will have experience of conducting data-intensive research in an academic research environments and the technical skills to document, process and transform data. They will be an excellent communicator with the ability to explain technical and specialised concepts clearly to non-technical academic and support staff.
