Duties and Responsibilities
UCL Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) are a group of specialist teams working with students and staff to encourage a spirit of enterprise, create links with the outside world and accelerate UCLs innovation and impact. I&Es work is at the heart of UCLs ambition to change the world for the better and plays a vital part in our shared mission to tackle the great global challenges of our time.
The Strategy and Policy Manager is responsible for creating well researched suites of policy and strategy documents to meet institutional needs and deliver the Innovation & Enterprise agenda. Working with senior stakeholders from across the institution, the Strategy and Policy Manager is expected to develop and implement innovation related policies and has a key role in developing institutional strategy documents in the area of innovation and enterprise.
Key Requirements
The role requires awareness of UK and broader government policies on knowledge exchange and their implications for strategy and planning in a higher education context and the ability to analyse complex information to evaluate policy and strategy options. The Strategy and Policy Manager will have the ability to craft compelling and accessible policy and strategy documents, including the identification of meaningful objectives and success measures where appropriate.
This post is for maternity cover from April 2021 until February 2022.
