Duties and Responsibilities
The effective administration of the Departments admissions, marketing and student recruitment processes is key to successful recruitment and financial planning for this busy and growing department. The post holder is required to provide high-level support to the admissions processes and student recruitment strategies for the Schools postgraduate Masters, undergraduate and research programmes.
The role will involve contact and communication with the Departments prospective students and parents, academic staff and Registry and Faculty staff across UCL, so a polite and helpful attitude is essential as well as a can do attitude and flexible response during busy periods.
This is an open-ended post. This post will be available from 1st March 2021.
The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent (GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above).
The successful candidate must have evidence of excellent administrative skills and a highly proactive approach to providing a comprehensive support service including providing an excellent student/customer service, evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills, a demonstrable ability to work with confidential information with diplomacy and tact and experience of providing comprehensive and proactive administrative support including providing excellent student/customer service.
Experience of working within a marketing/events/promotional area preferably within a Higher Education Institution and evidence of marketing and promotion using social media platforms is essential.
Experience of using student data systems such as PORTICO, Select would be highly desirable.
