Duties and Responsibilities

The Integrated Engineering Programme in UCL Engineering is looking to recruit a number of new Teaching Assistants for the 2021/22 academic session.

The purpose of this job is to support teaching and learning in our modules, working with the academic module leads through the delivery of small group teaching for students taking modules as part of the Integrated Engineering Programme. Main duties of the post are tutorial class teaching, regular meetings with the course lecturer, provision of feedback to students, provision of weekly office hours, attendance reporting, coursework assessment and examination marking.

Teaching Assistants will be given training in support of their roles.

Please note, these roles are available until 1st July 2022.

Key Requirements

You should have some experience in mathematical/computational modelling in the engineering sciences, and feel comfortable to communicate and discuss mathematics and programming.

You should also have a keen interest in project/problem-based learning, and in developing teaching experience with undergraduate students.

An enthusiasm for teaching is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with students, academic and support staff at all levels
