Duties and Responsibilities
This role supports the Chemical Engineering Department at UCL which is one of the top research and teaching chemical engineering departments in the world.
The main purpose of the job is to provide practical support to running of the undergraduate practical classes and IT based administrative support to the Facilities Manager. Duties include managing and processing data in Excel and MS Forms, managing the department lockers, maintaining the undergraduate lab, preparing chemical solutions for teaching classes.
Duration is for 12 months in the first instance.
Key skills and qualifications include: Experience of working with chemicals, ability to use Excel functions to extract and process data, ability to keep a lab in good order, ability to work alone and in teams, ability to anticipate issues and adjust approaches, good general IT skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
