The Faculty of Law requires a part-time (0.5FTE) Finance Administrator who will assist in the administration of accounts, maintain financial records, and carry out the core financial processes as part of the management of the Faculty’s finances. This will be primarily within the Faculty of Law but also work closely with Institute of Criminology’s finance team.
The chosen applicant will report to the Faculty’s Finance Coordinator and support them via efficient and accurate processing, and collating information where required to assist in the production of financial reports.
The role plays an essential part in keeping the finances of the Faculty of Law up-to-date and accurate, which in turn ensures the Faculty’s financial strategies can be efficiently implemented. Completing tasks promptly, as they arrive, will be important as there will be a need for the role holder to update both Faculty members and external suppliers on the progress of various financial transactions.
The role holder should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform administrative and procedural duties in an organised manner. Evidence of self-motivation, a proactive attitude, and the ability to plan are essential. Applicants should have an ability to work accurately under pressure, to work well as part of a team and to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
