The Postgraduate Admissions Office invites applications for the post of Assistant Admissions Administrator
The Postgraduate Admissions Office supports the admission of students to doctoral and non-doctoral postgraduate courses at the University of Cambridge. The Office currently receives in excess of 20,000 applications annually from UK and International students.
This role is responsible for supporting the Postgraduate Admissions Communications Team in ensuring the smooth progression of applications to postgraduate study; answering enquiries about this process from applicants, departments, degree committees, colleges and funding bodies. The role holder is required to provide a high level of service and customer care to all staff and potential students.
The post holder will also assist with the offer making process in peak periods, as well as checking and processing documentation submitted as evidence to meet offer conditions.
Applicants will have an interest in communications, and experience of providing a responsive and timely administrative service, and of working in Higher Education. They should have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, very good IT skills, an excellent telephone manner, an eye for detail and the ability to work in a team environment.
Applicants will be able to work independently to tight deadlines, be willing to learn new skills and will be able to use their initiative and judgment. Applicants must be able to prioritise and work well under pressure.
