This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated administrator to join a large, complex and friendly Department with an exceptional international record in teaching and research.
The HR Administrator post is generalist focused with a wide variety of responsibilities that underpin the effective and efficient functioning of the Department. Working in partnership with the Departmental Administrator, you will provide high quality and timely HR advice and support to over 250 employees and line managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will coordinate and deliver administrative support for all local HR processes, seeking continuous improvement of HR practices in collaboration with professional services staff across the collegiate University. The role will require you to contribute to the development and delivery of HR and other departmental projects and initiatives.
A good knowledge of HR policies and procedures is required along with several years’ experience working in a busy administrative role. It is vital that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people. You need to be proactive and highly organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload independently to meet deadlines.
The Department is currently open and, as such, our staff are working a combination of on premises and remotely. It is envisaged that the current arrangements will continue for the foreseeable future, however the details of this will be discussed at interview.
