The Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience is a large and welcoming department with an exceptional international record for its teaching and research. We are looking for a Classroom Technician to assist in the running of our busy Undergraduate (Part I) teaching classrooms, supporting the delivery of a wide range of practical classes and lectures to first- and second-year medical, veterinary and science students.

The duties will include setting out and preparing teaching materials, apparatus and glassware; running teaching computers and videos; assisting students and teaching staff with the operation of equipment; undertaking simple equipment repairs; care and maintenance of audio visual equipment in lecture theatres; photocopying class books and handouts; and helping to ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.

Applicants should be educated to at least GCSE level including passes in Mathematics and Biology, and be IT literate and manually dexterous. Accuracy, flexibility and reliability are essential, as are good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team to meet tight deadlines.
