The Cambridge University Counselling Service is seeking to recruit multiple Counsellors, Psychotherapists or Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, on a full-time or part-time basis to undertake individual and group counselling with students for this large, busy and well-respected multi-disciplinary Counselling Service.

This is an opportunity to join our highly experienced multi-disciplinary team of counsellors, CBT therapists, mental health advisors and sexual assault and harassment advisor.

The successful candidates will have a post-graduate level counselling qualification. Current accreditation as a counsellor/psychotherapist with BACP, UKCP, BABCP, BCP or as a clinical or counselling psychologist with BPS and HCPC registration is essential, as well as relevant experience of counselling and group-work in a similar organisational setting – please remember to upload your accreditation/registration certificate when applying.

Due to Covid-19, the University Counselling Service has ceased to offer individual face-to-face appointments or group sessions. Instead, we are offering students telephone/video consultations. We are unable to provide a date as to when we will return to the Student Service building so please apply on the basis that you will be working from your home until further notice.You will need to take this into consideration as you do need to be able to work in a secure environment whereby all information will be managed in a confidential manner at all times.
