We are looking for 2 highly organised individuals to join the institute as Fellowship and Operations Administrator. The posts support a wide range of operational activities across the institute and provide effective administration of our national fellowship programme. Reporting to the Fellowship and Operations Manager you will work in a small and dynamic team. Previously, one administrator has supported this work but we are now expanding as the fellowship scheme matures. We expect the posts to work closely together to cover the full requirements of the role, but there will be some scope to specialise. Funded by the Health Foundation, The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute (THIS Institute) has a remit to advance research into how to improve the quality and safety of patient care. The institute hosts around 50 staff, consisting of researchers, operational and communications staff and visiting research fellows.
Based in the Operations Team, the roles offer wide variety and are responsible for developing and maintaining functional procedures in a range of areas. These include HR, recruitment, IT and facilities to ensure the smooth running of institute activities. You will have the ability to work independently to complete work to tight deadlines, be highly flexible in approach and experienced in managing a wide and complex workload. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and helpfully with a wide range of people at all levels are essential.
The positions are full-time and part-time applications will be considered for a minimum of 0.8 FTE. Funds for the full time post are available for 1 year in the first instance from commencement of employment, and the maternity cover is for a maximum of 1 year or the return of the post-holder, whichever is the earliest.
Post holders will be based at the Clifford Allbutt Building, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge CB2 0AH (approximately 2 miles south of city centre), but the successful candidate may need to work remotely in the first instance.
