We are seeking a pro-active and enthusiastic individual to take on this Project Co-ordinator role within the Programme Management team. The team is part of the University Research Office which provides strategic and operational research support, working closely with our Pro-Vice-Chancellors and in partnership with our academic staff to secure and manage funding from external organisations globally, nationally and regionally.
The role holder will co-ordinate day to day operations of our institutional impact programmes including the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) and ESRC IAA. This will include: administering internal competitions for funding, monitoring project expenditure and outcomes, writing reports for funders and promoting the IAAs within and outside the University. You will be required to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
The role holder’s activities will promote wider and more effective engagement with the impact agenda and provide funding for ‘on the ground’ impact/knowledge transfer activities, which enable researchers to engage with the users of research such as business, the NHS, government and policy makers, charities and the wider public.
You will be meticulous, accurate, and organised in maintaining records of funding applications and finances. You also need to be flexible in approach and able to prioritise and manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines with a wide and varied workload. The role requires a team-player with excellent communication skills who is able to work effectively with colleagues across the University.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2021 in the first instance.
