The Finance Division is seeking to appoint a full time Team Leader to join the Property Accounting Services section. The Finance Division manages the financial resources of the University and the support services for the financial functions carried out by the University’s departments. The role will be part of the Financial Operations team, based at Greenwich House, Madingley Road.

The Property Accounting Services (PAS) section provides financial and transactional support to Estate Management and associated departments (principally University Catering Service and Accommodation Service). The team of eleven based in the Finance Division provides Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Accounting and Reporting functions.

The role holder line manages 5 members of staff and the PAS team leader is specifically responsible for the Accounts Payable function, University Catering Service cash management, and general accounts receivable work in the PAS team.

The post holder leads the transactions team responsible for processing all Accounts Payable transactions for Estate Management on CUFS and PLANET and liaises with the Team Leader (Accounting, Reporting and Recharges) for billing and recharging of residential and commercial tenants and internal University departments. The team processes in excess of 30,000 accounts payable invoices in a year.The post holder also oversees all transactions for the University Catering Service (UCS) ¿ ensuring all income is receipted on a daily basis and accounts receivable billing is carried out promptly. They are also responsible for ensuring all other income relating to the Estates Division is receipted on a weekly basis.

The role holder will have proven organisational and communication skills, have a high attention to detail and be able to effectively prioritise theirs and the team’s workload. The ability to work to deadlines is important, as is willingness to take a pro-active approach to tasks.
