The Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics is seeking an experienced and proactive Administrator to provide general administration support to the users of one of the four pavilion’s (Astrophysics, Quantum Information and Computational Analysis) with specific PA support to Professor Carola Schönlieb.

General administration includes space planning, accommodating visitors, expense claim checking, conference organising, website and mailing list management. PA support is to include diary management and supporting meetings.

The successful applicant will be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent with GCSE English and Mathematics and ideally hold an RSA II secretarial qualification or equivalent. Proficient in the use of IT, the applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and webpage and email packages. Excellent organisational and communication skills are also required together with the ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
