An application is invited for one Research Assistant position that has become available in the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Cambridge, UK.

The successful applicant will work to support the research activity of the laboratories of Profs. Pellegrini and Luisi. This will include assisting researchers with their experiments, maintaining stocks of reagents, consumables and small equipment items etc. A smaller portion of the time will also be dedicated to work supporting the Structural Biology Research Facilities of the Department.

This is a challenging but rewarding position that would suit an ambitious recent graduate in Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline, who is keen to gain experience in an active research environment.

The ideal candidate will combine an ability to multi-task and to fit in well in a team. Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential for the role. Experience with basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques would be highly desirable, although training will be provided.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 60 months in the first instance.
