Applications are invited for a Research Nurse to join the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre Early Detection Programme. The Programme goal is to develop, validate and establish novel highly effective early cancer diagnostic and intervention methodologies. The Research Nurse will perform and manage research studies for the Cambridge International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection Member Centre, being responsible for a number of cross-disciplinary research studies. Applicants must have a professional nursing qualification and post-registration research experience in performing clinical studies. The post holder should demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to help meet the objectives of the Programme. Knowledge of research methodology, ethics and research governance of clinical studies is also essential. Experience in clinical research studies for the early detection of cancer would be an advantage.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2024 in the first instance.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This appointment also requires NMC Registration and a Research Passport application.
This is an integrated appointment between the University and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (“NHS Trust”). You will therefore also be issued with an Honorary Research Contract by the NHS Trust. You should be aware that if your contract with the NHS Trust is terminated your employment with the University will be terminated, and vice versa.
