The position is available from 1 December 2021 or as soon after as possible. As a member of the accounts team, you will undertake a full range of accounts duties in Payables, Receivables and General Ledger, with other duties relating to research grants and payroll, and provide a first point of enquiry for staff, students and suppliers seeking accounts-related information and guidance.
You will have GCSE English and Maths, Grade C or above, and AAT Intermediate, or equivalent. You will be familiar with use of MS Excel. You will have extensive accounts-based work experience, and be familiar with use of on-line financial systems (Oracle Financials desirable).
Good written and communication skills and interpersonal skills, a patient attitude, tact, and diplomacy are important, as is the ability to work as a proactive team player.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst achieving accuracy and paying attention to detail, is imperative. You will also be required to work on your own initiative within the scope of your role.
