Climate change is one of society’s most significant and pressing issues. Cambridge Zero is the University of Cambridge’s bold new climate change initiative that aims to support the transition to a resilient and sustainable zero-carbon world by harnessing the full breadth of the University’s capabilities, developing solutions that work for our lives, our society, and our economy. The initiative is led by Dr Emily Shuckburgh OBE, one of the most prominent and media-facing leaders in climate change science today.
We are now, seeking a new and outstanding major gifts fundraiser for the position of Senior Associate Director, Cambridge Zero.
As Senior Associate Director for Cambridge Zero, you will help the University develop long-term holistic partnerships with high level donors and ultimately to secure philanthropic support for the Cambridge Zero initiative.
You will work closely with the Development & Alumni Relations Leadership as well as with leaders across Collegiate Cambridge to further the higher-level strategic aims of Cambridge Zero across the University.
Collaborative, strategic and innovative in approach, the Senior Associate Director will be responsible for developing new, and building on existing, high-value partnerships with philanthropic donors. Critical to success will be the ability to engage with high-net-worth individuals, academics and with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
You will join one of the world’s leading institutions as part of a dynamic and innovative team delivering the University of Cambridge’s significant fundraising potential. Development and Alumni Relations reflects the University’s mission – innovating and transforming approaches to fundraising, leading the sector, and working at the forefront of what we do.
This role is based in central Cambridge; however, the successful candidate may need to work remotely in the first instance. This can be discussed at interview.
