The role of Business Analyst is to undertake the delivery of business change and aid process efficiencies with particular attention to the files and data structure in the Finance Division. The Business Analyst will investigate inefficiencies within the Finance Division and provide research and analysis on potential resolution. This will involve extensive stakeholder engagement within Finance Division and in the wider University. The BA will identify the tactical options that will address a given situation and support the delivery of the business strategy, they will support the implementation and operation of those tactics and re-define as necessary after implementation to take account of business changes and ensure continuing alignment/ improvement.
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, based in the Finance Division, you will work as part of a team in the Financial Systems Group, but will interact with a range of department stakeholders therefore robust stakeholder management, using appropriate tools and communication methods to elicit information will be important.
Utilising knowledge of Sharepoint processes, you will introduce change to the Finance Division file structures ensuring smooth transition.
You will have a friendly and positive nature, using your natural positivity to influence those that may not immediately recognise the opportunities and benefits of change. You should have experience of detailed business analysis, including methodologies such as ‘as is, ‘to be’ business process maps, MOSCOW and RACI or other appropriate tools. In addition to holding a recognised business analysis diploma or similar, you should have experience of managing projects and this may be underpinned by a formal project management qualification.
