Job description

At Essex Sport, we have a mission to positively enhance and change lives through sport; we treat every encounter with our members as an opportunity to give an exceptional experience. To achieve this, we provide a diverse range of inclusive and innovative sport, fitness and physical activity services that encourage our members to stay fit, be active and look after their physical and mental wellbeing. We don’t just welcome the already sporty; we focus on breaking down barriers to activity to make sure sport is accessible for everyone, no matter your background, experience, or ability level. We want individuals thinking about joining us to be passionate, ambitious, and not afraid to think differently to how we can reach new markets and extend the transformational benefits that sport and physical activity brings to more people.

Duties of the Role

We are seeking seasonal on-demand ‘playworkers’ to join us for our CHUMS multi-sport holiday camp this easter and summer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a packed schedule of weekly sport, creative and team-based activities across our facilities, with each session adapted for delivery dependent on the age and ability of the group to ensure they are fun and safe.

You should have a vibrant, fun and confident personality, whilst also possessing a good range of communication, interpersonal and organisation skills. We particularly want to hear from sport-passionate individuals who have heaps of energy and enthusiasm to help us create an engaging, inclusive, and welcoming environment for every child we engage with.
